Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2, 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By installing or using ReviewDeck ("the Software"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software.
2. License grant
You are granted a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Software for personal and commercial purposes. Future editions of the Software may offer additional paid features under separate terms.
3. Restrictions
You may not redistribute, sublicense, or resell the Software. You may not remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels. You may not use the Software to develop a competing product.
4. Intellectual property
The Software and all associated content, including but not limited to code, graphics, and documentation, are the property of ReviewDeck and are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
5. Your content
Any video, image, or audio files you import, and any reviews, notes, and markup you create with the Software, are yours. ReviewDeck claims no ownership over your work.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to any media you import into the Software or send to others with it. ReviewDeck is not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from your use of content you do not have the rights to.
6. Review files you send
The Software creates review files intended to be sent to your reviewers through channels you choose. Once a file leaves your machine, its distribution is under your control. The optional password protection uses strong encryption (AES-256-GCM); a lost password cannot be recovered by you or by ReviewDeck. Choose passwords carefully and share them through a separate channel.
7. Your data and backups
The Software stores reviews as ordinary files and folders in locations you choose, including shared network drives. You are responsible for backing up your libraries. The Software includes safeguards against accidental loss, but no warranty is made against data loss caused by hardware failure, network storage behaviour, other software, or other users of a shared location.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
In no event shall ReviewDeck be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Software.
10. Termination
This license is effective until terminated. It will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any term. Upon termination, you must cease all use and destroy all copies of the Software.
11. Third-party software
The Software includes FFmpeg, used for media processing and distributed under the GNU General Public License. The full license text is installed alongside the Software. FFmpeg is a trademark of Fabrice Bellard. ReviewDeck is an independent product and is not affiliated with the FFmpeg project.
12. Changes to terms
ReviewDeck reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
